Now start FSX with your 25 digit AccelerationPack Activation Key handy, once FSX initializes you should be offered the opportunity to re-enter your AccPack Activation Key. Click Ok to save/enter the new value then exit the registry. DoubleClick the word " UpperFilters", a dialog will open showing/allowing you to change the Value for "UpperFilters" there should be no other Values remaining other than PartMgr in this dialog.Įdit the UpperFilters Value to PartMgr deleting any other value in that dialog. When you have found the correct Key (left panel), in the right corresponding panel you will see Data Values for that Key. Now navigate the registry path till you find the Key Bolded above. This is because your registry entry under Win10, in RegistryKey: If you followed the procedure and did not get an AccPack Activation dialog when starting FSX then you may have edited the wrong RegistryKey. The advice at the MS Answers link is 100% correct, here's a more indepth description. Last edited by Wintersedge 10-22-2019 at 09:27 PM. This solution didn't state what to do if it didn't.
The activation box did not come up during restart of FSX. This is the closest solution I could find. So my question, how onearth do I activate my very legit installation of FSX and Acceleration?

When I go to HELP>ABOUT in the menu it clearly illustrates "Microsoft Flight Simulator X Demo" Needless to say, that my installation is in demo note. I thought I did that already when I entered the keys.

The installation went smoothly, and I entered the product keys for both pieces of software.Īfter a few days of reinstalling my scenery and aircraft addons, and configuring all my controls and graphics settings, I opted to embark on a flight.ģ0 minutes later I was advised my 30 minute trial had ended and that I must activate the product. I installed both as administrator in a directory outside the Program Files directory.

I have just recently reinstalled FSX and Acceleration on my new WIndows 10 machine. We are in the process of getting The Bahamas out and I'm not looking forward to this.I've Googled, but found not much similarity as mine with other users, so let me once again post this question. I'm getting responce from Stream which is the Support for Microsoft on this and they want me to re-install the OS.

United we will always win :)>LoganI have this too because of a hardware upgrade ( Video Card) and I just looked and mine is already set this way and I still can't re-install. Thanks to all those who posted in the last thread about>this. Let me know as I have one more>fix, but this should do it.>Dan>p.s. The only problem is though, you won't know>if it worked unless you run the sim for more then 30mins.>There is nothing telling you that it registered.>Hope this works for everyone. Also, When you open the>upperfilters key the value will be empty, just type in this>space the "PartMgr" without qoutes.>This worked for me. Modify the registry at your own risk.To resolve this issue, follow these steps:1.Ĝlick Start, click Run, type regedit, and then OK.2.Ğxpand the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCURRENTCONTROLSETCONTROLCLASS>3.Ěfter you find the folder, double-click Upperfilters on the>right side.>4.Ĝhange the value from 0 to PartMgr, and then click OK.>5.Ĝlose Registry Editor, reboot your computer and then try to>use the activation wizard.>For those of you that don't know, BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY !!!!!>I can't stress this enough. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Follow these instructions:Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. (BTW, this is the way I did it.) save the file then close your windows explorer. Once you find this file, delete the text in it and type your product key in here exactly as it's written in your CD box. I am not sure what this file would be called for the standard edition, i'm sure something along the lines of "stdkey.txt". The second way involves going to your main FSX folder and opening the file called "dlxkey.txt" without qoutes. The first way is to just try the instuctions I have included, then type you key in the activation window.
Everyone who is having activation problems please try this.
